A truck, car, and plane. The journey of one bottle of Knoble Whiskey, it does take a family.
The journey of this single bottle of Knoble Whiskey started many years ago with Dirty Jobs. Being the father of two boys, Dirty Jobs was one of the shows they had to watch. As they grew, they became Boy Scouts, and finding they you are an Eagle, they were intrigued with this knowledge, and both reached that difficult and lofty accomplishment.
Fast forward to June 2023 with a long trip in a U-Haul from New York to Fort Benning Georgia with my older son. As in the past when I travel, I like to save up pod casts to listen to. We listened to your many of your pod casts during the long drive and truly enjoyed the story of plugging a toilet at a friend’s house while attending a picnic. This was a regular occurrence in our home years ago with our younger son Jon. Billy asked if I have ever tried your Whiskey. Being in NYS, no. And so, the journey continues.
Billy went online to order a bottle of your whiskey for me for Christmas, and low and behold, you cannot ship any alcohol to NYS. Our guess they want/need all the taxes. Being in the apartment complex he is in, not a great one, he had it shipped to my brother in Florida for its safe delivery and storage. It arrived and was kept safe in his hands until Thanksgiving.
Billy traveled from Fort Benning to see Shawn in Florida for Thanksgiving to see family and retrieve the golden gift for Christmas. A return drive of 6 hours to Georgia and then a flight to New Jersey for the Christmas season was its next leg. After a flights and a layover, a short car ride home from Newark Airport and the journey of a signal bottle of Knoble Whiskey was completed.
After a move into our new downsized home, I would not recommend moving over the Christmas Holiday to anyone. We opened it and had a drink together before he returned to his training at Fort Benning. We thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a moment in life when you can have a relaxing drink with your son and enjoy the journey of his life after the long journey of a single bottle Knoble Whiskey.
It was worth the trip.
