Although I consider myself well educated, I find that listening to The Way I Heard It exponentially improves my daily vocabulary as well as makes me aware of a wide variety of topics. Some episodes may not initially attract my attention, but the content is always illuminating. Mike’s baritone (?) voice belongs in that club of a few select broadcasters who can calm one’s mind even if the topic may be controversial or triggering for some. I enjoy and now appreciate Mike’s chats with his mom, since my own mom, who was the same age as Peggy, recently passed. Finally, as a person who comes from a huge family of blue collar workers, I’m grateful for a platform that highlights their contributions to our communities.
