Listen to this Podcast!
Mike is a fantastic storyteller and has a great sense of humor!

Late to the party
I just started listening to the podcast last year, and I took a lengthy break before coming back to it recently while embarking on a new walking program. I enjoyed the original format immensely, and right now I’m in the middle of the book excerpts, which means re-hearing the “twist” stories coupled with additional great content. Looking forward to whatever comes after the book is done.

Mike Rowe has a winner!
“The Way I Heard It” podcast offers an amusing, but often pointed, take on work and work-related issues. Just finished listening to a show addressing California’s Assembly Bill 5 (AB5), now which has established itself as job-killing legislation. The dialogue between guests and host was informative and engaging. Give Mike’s show a try; it’s worth your while!

Very important issue. Another erosion of personal freedom. Sooo we lose all personal free if this isn’t stopped.

Ab 5
Thank you for spreading the word and how we can act!

Never Enough
I can never get enough of listening to Mike Rowe. The stories he tells are such a fantastic combination of emotions that never fail to entertain regardless of the mood I am in when I start. I have listened to every episode at least once. I’m loving everything you share and pass along to others always. Thanks for doing what you do.

Always fun!
I love these podcasts! Whether it’s a new The Way I Heard It story, Mrs. Rowe, a story that goes off the rails or a guest, it’s always entertaining and good for a chuckle out to pique an interest in something new. Also, a great listen when driving from Texas to Minnesota to visit my son or a road trip inside Texas from DFW to Houston to visit my daughter. I am thankful for this podcast for many hours of entertainment!

Hilarious
All the shows are new and imaginative. They are great listening for any age! That is so important for me, because I listen while taking care of my granddaughter. (No foul language) LOVE IT 😊 Ginger

Simply one of my favorite Podcasts
Mike and Chuck simply have one of the best most informative Podcast on the air today. I love every episode and always always learn at least one or two life lessons from listening. Listening to this morning’s podcast, I was thinking, “What is it about this podcast that makes me enjoy it so much more than others?” When it occurred to me that Mike and Chuck as well as most, if not all, of their guests are such wonderful amazing people that they just make me want to be a better person as well. We all need more of that feeling/inspiration in our lives these days! Thank You Mike & Chuck for making the world a better place one podcast at a time! Keep them coming. Kenneth Pisgah Forest NC

Call your elected officials & tell them this would be disastrous!
I saw that one of my friends on social media posted this episode so I looked it up and listened to it online! Very informative on what the state of California will do/is doing to those who have “gig” or independent jobs. I sent this episode to my son who is a bassoon player and just did a “gig” with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. This California Bill will crush the independent contractors. Call your representatives in your state and Washington! Thanks, guys!

Love of music
This is such an awesome podcast! I liked the episodes when they were short, but I really enjoy listening to all the added dialogue. Mike’s parents, Chuck, and Paul from QVC are some of the best ones. My favorite episodes are when you share about your experiences with Fred King and all the paths you have gone down because of his influence. I had a larger than life music director in my life as well. I was in a marching band in high school with a teacher named Mr.B. He was like everyone’s grandfather and taught me about life more than music. Appreciating music was a bonus. He always referenced God’s son during rehearsals because we were a bunch of teenagers that didn’t listen. I will never forget the sign above the door with the phrase “Attitude is the key to success.” When I hear you talk about Fred King and how music has influenced your life, it makes me nostalgic as well. Thank you for sharing and reminding me of all those good times. Please keep sharing!

Awesome show!
I’ve been a huge fan of Mike and his message over the last 20 years. This podcast is continued gold from everything he has done over that time. 100% recommend.

Girls Build
All of the episodes are excellent! Well researched and informative. I always learn something new. Even some things I didn’t even know I wanted to learn! I just finished Girls Build, so I used that as my review title.

Love this podcast
I've been listening since near the begining, love every episode. Anyway i love the stories, and the way he makes you think one way and then at the end, bam! Love hearing the recent shows with the interviews. And I love chuck. Keep up the good work.

Love this podcast so much!!
Thank you so much for this podcast. It’s exactly what is needed in this world. It transcends politics & culture and just speaks to the values that, in my opinion, we all need to be reminded of.

The best podcast!
Have been listening for a long time and have loved how it’s evolved - like all of us hopefully. I know it has to be so challenging to find a guest each week but what you are doing is so very important. Keep doing what you do. Thank you.

Fun
Always enjoy the in depth content and of course the singing commercials.

Ep. 294
Great show. I would love to hear your version of the ballad, maybe you could talk John Rich into helping you write it. Born in east LA, military service, built a career with hard work, and now California is trying to take away his American dream! It would be awesome. Keep up the great work, but maybe you should both look for Texas homes as well.

Entertaining and Informative
Thank you for educating others on the importance of the working class and for reminding others that success doesn't require a college education. (The dynamic between Mike and Chuck makes it entertaining.) Although this is rated as "clean", I would advise parents to screen episodes prior to listening with young children.

Thank you both for having great guests with important conversations!!
Just finished listening to the podcast about AB5 and Tom Odom with Will Swaim. As I listened, I thought this also puts independent (thinking) contractors under the thumb of HR department’s DEI requirements, as well as trying to control peoples opinions, or free expression thereof, under penalty of unemployment. I think you should have Dr. Temple Grandin. She was on Dr. Jordan Peterson’s podcast and expressed the importance of doing hands on work, encouraging technical vocations, and why we need to be able to “fix” our own stuff (not leave it to others). Thanks for all you do to bring awareness to the trades and making it possible to pursue.

Educational
I love this podcast, I have learned of things that are not in my normal range of things, that go on outside of my bubble.

Always learn and always laugh
I’ve never been disappointed with one of these podcasts. I learn things, I chuckle, I disagree (sometimes - not often) but I never miss an episode.

Matt Walsh episode
Thank you for taking a chance with this episode, Mike (and Chuck). We need to hear and discuss things that are difficult. How else are we going to learn?

Great podcast with bonus insomnia cure
I do love this podcast so much. Mike is so smart and has great guests. It’s not enough to have great guests but an excellent interview involves listening to your guest. Mike and Chuck do that well. I cannot wait for the new episode to come out each week. Thank you for the bonus content of Mrs. Rowe’s book. That was a treat. As a bonus if my brain is not shutting off while at night, when I climb in between the sheets, I will turn on this podcast and set a sleep timer for 30 minutes. Mike’s voice is like a cup of hot chocolate, and I have never made the end of the sleep timer. that just means I go back and listen to the full podcast when I am awake and ready for action. Thank you for putting out this content each week.

GREAT SHOW!
Have you ever thought of doing dirty jobs on a Navy Submarine?

Mike does it again
Mike Rowe is outstanding, always interesting and always relevant! He finds the best guests with the the most incredible ideas

Courage to face the dirty backlash
Thanks so much for interviewing Matt Walsh despite the backlash you’re sure to receive. Safety 3rd, Mike. Sometimes you have to get dirty. Keep fighting the good fight. Love your show, your commercials, your rugged good looks. That producer guy is ok, too. ❤️❤️❤️

Great show
Mike Rowe (and) Chuck produce a wonderful show. It is a daily joy.
