They just kind of have that attitude and you can tell they're just a cool person to be around. Well, she is also one of the funniest women out there. No. I yeah, I'm a comedian based out of LA I've been doing comedy for about I don't know, a long long time enough to have two kids and talk about them. And I started out doing improv at Second City.

Now, if you're gonna bake a cherry pie, preserve cherries. They are just as good as actually fresh cherries for cherry pies. And if you didn't know the cherries, they are really healthy, especially they have information or gout and I can vouch the gap part. Now you don't even It doesn't matter how you eat a cherry, It doesn't matter. You can eat it in cherry pie, you can drink the juice, it doesn't matter. And you still get the same benefits from the cherry as you would if you just ate it right off the tree. So, and there're no big deals today or anything like that. So, but what if you do just enjoy some cherry pie today? All right? 3:36 Oh? Man, every single one of them, every single one. It's my husband. It's his fault, big Tyler Perry fan. Huh. Well, it's not that I watch it ironically. I mean I think it's cool Tyler Perry. You know, he's doing his thing. He's making so much money off of those movies and stuff. But it's just like, I don't know, Like I live in LA and people are a little bit sensitive about that stuff because they're like, you're you're making fun of like, you know, like a trans person or whatever. And I'm like, oh my god, I can't even watch madea without being judged. So I just don't even say anything when people ask me that in LA. I'm like, who's Media? I don't. I don't know, so I don't want them coming after me. You know, Well he's but she's getting I did see that one though.

4:24 I'm right. I've said media is pretty big and flyover country if not in La. Oh really, is that your favorite? No? Just like Tyler Perry, I think he's just a really good guy. Yeah, he's a good guy. He likes I mean, and he also likes to dress up as a woman. That's true. Now, neither of us were born yet, but this was in nineteen fifty nine. Okay, now he did not play that song, but it was today. In nineteen fifty nine, a sixteen year old Jimmy Hendrix played his first ever show. It was the Basement in Temple the Hearst Synagogue in Seattle. They fired him after the second song because he was playing his guitar a little too while.

5:21 Kind of set the precedent for me. Yeah, wow, that's pretty badass. So what got you up on stage to begin with? Oh, let's see, I had just a crippling Corporate America job which I will not name the company, but it was severely limiting of any creative ability whatsoever. I was not even allowed to use big words according to them. And it was an information technology, you know, and which I knew nothing about. I will admit I got it out of pure and nepotism. And I was making the big bucks, but there was nothing going on inside. And I joined this professional group. I like to travel and do fun things. And one night they had an improv night at Sickens City, Hollywood, and I ended up going up on stage and I felt like the biggest thrill I've ever felt, like from anything, from roller coasters, from just you know, backpacking and foreign countries, like this was the thing that made me feel alive. So I just started struggling with like what should I do? Should I quit my job? I mean, I feel like I'm too old for a career change. I'm already kind of like deep into this. I'm mine up for a promotion. They never promoted me, never got me anywhere near, you know, having any kind of managerial stuff that I aspired to in that company. So I started working on my improv skills and then with that, I got a lot of stage time, because you know, being on stage, it's it's

6:53 not the same as being funny in person because you know you can you can have your friends and your friends know you, they try to you can say anything and they're just going to be like, Oh, that's her, that's how she is, and that's funny. So to get a whole group of people to trust you like that, it's a whole different skill. So I spent a lot of time on stage, and then I decided I'm going to start writing for myself and that's when I got into stand up And after that I never looked back. I'm like, I'm doing this full force, and a lot of people are going to tell you, you know, this is dumb and you're leaving a high paying job and all this stuff, and I'm like, well, you know what, I know all the people that spend their entire lives in that corporate job, and everyone in that department either had cancer or had some kind of debilitating illness that they probably got from the company. So like, I would rather just do something that doesn't make me feel dead inside, And that ended up being stand up.

7:52 Well, that is totally awesome. You know one thing about stand up there too, I think it is the hardest profession, if not entertainment anyway, It's just like you were talking about trying to make people strangers laugh and all that. That's a rough job. And man, you have to have some self confidence in order to do it. You know what. The rough job doing the raffle at the end of the show, that is a rough job. I can open up a show, no problem. I can. I'm not afraid of the audience. I in fact love it. And you know what actually makes me want to do it more and more is people. Multiple people have come up to me after shows and they they'll tell me they were having the worst day they've ever had, and then they came to my show and they just felt lighter and they laughed for the first time in a long time. Somebody wanted to, you know, off himself and he told me about it, and he said, you know, this felt really good. I forgot what it felt like to feel happy and laugh. And after that, I was like, no, you know, I have my degree in psychology and I was going into mental health anyway, so this is a way for me to actually use that, you know, And so for me, it's more of like I got to save somebody's life. You know, I can't just be sitting around not joking because somebody out there is suffering and struggling and they need some levity, and sometimes that's all you need.

10:57 Nineteen forty two, the United States Navy tenant Butch O'Hara, he was a pilot and he was on patrol over the Solomon Islands. Now his wing man's gun jammed as they were protecting the aircraft carrier, the USS Lexington, so his co pilot he had to go back to the Lexington. So as O'Hare was proling, around nine Japanese bombers appeared and they're heading straight for the Lexington. So a single hand to lee launching a talk on attack on those nine planes. He shot down five of them before the other four boogied out. That made o'haa the very first ACE pilot of World War Two and made him also the first AN eighty Ace pilot. He was more to the middle of water, but sadly but she was killed in action in the following year. Now do you ever go to Chicago? I have once. Then my ears turned blue.

11:38 Well o' hair their airport out there, and that's their name for him. The fighter pilot Oh nineteen sixty two John Glenn. He became the first American to orbit the Earth and took him a little under five hours and complete three orbits. So how would you describe your comedy? You know they have like I know it's not prop and I know it's not insult it's just basically life, so off preservations, Yeah. I would. I would just describe it as I everything around me is just really annoying to me, and I have to talk about it. I gotta, I gotta point the stuff out, so it's you know, I'll do. I have some stuff that's you know, topical, I have observational, like a lot of the stuff I don't put online because a lot of people have stolen my material and went often did their own thing with it. So I was advised, you know, don't put everything online. If it's super personal, people can't really replicate it. So that stuff I'll put online. But if you come to my shows, I'll be talking about, you know, what's happening currently, what you know, who's like maybe maybe not like politically because that kind of stuff like that turns people off.

12:51 But but I'll. Have stuff like that. I'll have, you know, I do corporate events, so I do a lot of roasting, which is one of my favorite things to do is just get in front of an audience and I can see the look in their eyes there, like look like they're giving you like the puppy dog guys, and you just want to like attack them. You know, in a good way, like I'm going to get you out of your sea, I'm going to get you excited about this show, like they're they're ready in it. And so I had the title for a little bit when I was when I got really really pregnant and I was going around doing a bunch of shows. People were following me and coming to my shows and they're like, Oh, that's the pregnant lady who roast people, and that became my thing. I was like, okay, I'll take it. So I do a lot of growth. So I look at everything like my comedy is kind of just like a roast of the world around me.

13:42 Well, that's a really good description. So it's corporate comedy harder than them, the comedy clubs. It's not necessarily harder, it's just different. Sometimes they want you to be clean and like squeaky squeaky clean, like you can't even make innuendos and things like that, so it feels kind of limiting. But I found out that a lot of times those people want to hear something dirty, you know, and they want to break out of that. So you have to kind of like you have to kind of play some mind games and you know, you want to do what the company is telling you to do. But also people are thinking stuff that that you're saying, and it makes them feel closer to their teammates when they have a common person to be like, oh, well she said that thing that was on my mind, you know, And I'll do that at the or at the corporate comedy shows. I'll be like, I'll be like, I bet I know who hr is, you know, because that's the person that nobody is sitting next to, and I'll just get all that stuff out. So that's in that sense, it's it's a little bit more catered to what's happening in the room and the environment and the company. But it's not I wouldn't say it's harder. It's a skill you would have to develop. Like any commun and can just go in and do that will probably just get banned.

While she was Miami, and she decided to have go in and have Sydney. So she said he wasn't planned, so we'll believe her. Now. He got dual citizens yet battle it though. He started acting in nineteen forty nine, he won the Best Actor Oscar for Lily's in the Field. He was the first black actor and first Bahama the actor had actually win that.

Had fort daughters from his first wife, married his second wife in nineteen seventy six and they had two daughters. Sydney died in twenty twenty two at ninety four years old. Unless you have parents who are in their seventies or eighties, you wouldn't know that is the show Gun Smoke actress Amanda Blake. She was born in Buffalo, New York in nineteen twenty nine. She has best known for playing Miss Kiddy on Gunsmoke. She played it for nineteen years, four and twenty five episodes.

She was really big into wildlife rescue and she would really just piss off the whole cast and crew on Gunsmoke. So she would bring her pet lion onto the set. She rescued lions and tigers and cheetahs and that kind of stuff. They didn't like it. She just didn't think any of it, but yeah, they didn't like those wildcats running around there. Now. She married a fifth husband in nineteen eighty four. He gave her aids. She ended up dying from it nineteen eighty nine and is sixty years old. Hole now Peter Wolf he did sing lead, but it was the Jay Giles band. Jay Giles. He was born in New York City in nineteen forty six. Now he started jazz band in college. They're called Snoopy and the Softwitch Camels. Then when they went to New York City to hit it big.

He was the leader, but he did not sing, He did not write any of songs and he didn't but he did earn the most of money. Sammy Haygar tells a really good story about it. The first time Sammy Hager ever saw a Ferrari, Yeah, I was in Jay Gaal's house. Now. Yeah, all Jay Gules really did. He just hung out in the drummer in the back and played his guitar and then he like cast his checks. Now, when Jay Gayle's band broke up in nineteen eighty five, he just left music. All he did was Rebuildbold Cars and he did a couple of reunion shows with him. He died from natural causes in twenty seventeen at seventy one years old. Actor Sandy Duncan she's seventy nine. She was born in New London, Texas in nineteen forty six.

18:30 Moved to the Big City a Tyler, Texas when she was five. She's best known for Broadway Now. She started working professionally when she was only twelve. Her biggest role, though, was she was touring the country and it was kind of like an off Broadway show, but I mean it was huge. They did like a Marinas and that kind of stuff. They did Peter Pan, Yeah, she was Peter Pan. I mean she looked like a twelve year old boy. She had really short hair and stuff. So it worked. Now, she did star on the sitcom The Hogan Family. Then when she was twenty six, she had a tumor removed behind her left eye, left her blind, but the rumors are failcy. She didn't have a glass eye. Sammy Davis Junior did, but her eye was just regular there. And she did we think commercials for about thirty years. You know, if you get one of those national chain commercials, you can clean up if you can do it for like thirty years.

How old were you? Were you a baby? I was, yeah, I was just a little kid. I don't I don't even remember. The only thing I remember was there was I wrote on an elephant once. That's the memory I have of Pakistan. I was on an elephant. That is the most stereotypical thing that I could ever think of that would be associated with Pakistan, but I did it. They all ride on elephant and I remember I run on an elephant and then there was a horse and there's a lot of animals. Actually lived in uh.

19:58 I think we lived in where where we were by the K two mountains, which is really dangerous, really cold, really scary, but it's really really pretty like I saw pictures of it, and I mean a lot of my childhood pictures and stuff there were. They're just completely destroyed by me because they dressed me in really ugly clothes and I could not let that get out into the public. And it was just it was bad because you know, I had two older brothers constantly picking on me, teasing me. So that's my first My first memory is riding on an elephant. My second memory is that I was the girl who fell in the well. I got stitches on my left arm. You can still see the scar that I got. I think I was like four years old or three years old, and they left me in the well.

They don't do any news stories about the girl is in the well and then somebody comes and rescues here, Like you're if you're the girl in the well, you got to have a good relationship with your family because they're the only ones coming to get you. And well, my brother was the one who put me in there there in the first place. He was chasing me around and there was a lot of blackouts in Pakistan. I remember that. It was it was I think we had just rolling blackouts all the time, just horrible infrastructure and we were catching fireflies. He was chasing me. I fell in the well. I remember crying. I had all these bracelets on and then and then that was it. Then they're like, get yourself up. You're four years old, You're you're an adult now, and this is how life is.

21:36 And then I was like, I hate it here. And then they left and we came to America and it was the best thing ever. And I actually learned English watching South Park. So well, I guess we know what your vocabulary is going to be like on your live show, don't we. Yeah, for sure, Eric, Crazy, Dogs of Chances. Shut Down set and the Sun right now, that's so fun, so I got. A She is Kathy Bailey from Bailey and the Boys.

She actually booked her first commercial at eight months before. Oh no, five months before. She had neck control. She couldn't get her neck up, but she was here getting checks and I'm like, how is this even possible? And she was just the cutest baby. It was weird. It was so weird how cute she was that when she was born, me and my husband both looked at each other and were like, is this our baby? Wish? We were just we were shocked. He's like, this is a Are you sure this is our baby? And I'm like, yeah, this is this is who was with me in the room, And like I started sending pictures to my relatives and stuff and they're like, oh my gosh, that's your baby.

It was it's like, you know, your kid is really cute and probably the cutest if other moms with toddlers and babies and small children are telling you, oh my god, I've never seen a baby this cute in my life, and they're saying it in front of their own kids. Right. So, yeah, so she's taking the Cindy Crawford route. I don't know about the boy he has. I don't know. He's a boys fashion with a little I don't know if I can get him into that kind of stuff. I want him to be like an NFL player or something, because he's pretty bulky cool.

Now that started something that got her and her siblings in the Guinness Book of World Records. So, Kathlyn she was born today in February of nineteen seventy two, nineteen fifty three. Her sister Kara was born nineteen fifty six, her brother Charles was born, her sister Claudia she was born in nineteen sixty one, and her sister Cecilia was born in nineteen sixty six. Now you're probably saying, big deal, right, what's the big deal? Every single one of them was born on February twentieth and all from natural child birth, no induced labor, no sea sections, no nothing. They just all popped out on February twentieth. Wow, that's crazy.

Now. He married Courtney Love in nineteen ninety two and they had a daughter. So you said that you learned how to speak English on South Park? So do you still watch South Park? Oh? I wish they don't even make any more shows? Oh are they done? I don't know if they're played to be canceled, but they the last time they released an episode, it was like three episodes in one year. Oh yeah, I would love to watch South Park and you know, get my kicks and they just reminds me of my childhood. I love that show, best show. But yeah, they're not making any more shows, so I think it's up to me to take over.
