But there's nothing wrong with being silly for a day. Talking like a pirate, that'd be kind of fun. Now, you can play pirates with your kids. You can watch Jack Sparrow movies. Now, there's actually a lot of pirate movies that are older you can actually watch.

1:00 And you know what? You can just kind of like bug the hell out of your coworkers by talking like a pirate. You know who the biggest, baddest pirate of all time was? Yeah, it was a woman. She was in China. Her name was Ching Shih. It was in the early 1800s. She commanded a fleet of 1,800 ships with over 40,000 pirates on them. She was tough, too. She made some, kept those men in line. She had a set of basic rules, and if you broke any of those rules, automatic execution. So have fun today. I'm not talking like a pirate. And just be silly today. All right, let's see what happened to entertainment on September 19th, back in 1968. Number one album was Waiting for the Sun by The Doors. The Rascals had the number one song with People Gotta Be Free.

Now, he wanted to make sure that everybody knew that he was not running for a third term as president. He was done. He wasn't going to come back. Nope, he was done. So in order to get that across, he actually gave his farewell speech 10 weeks before the election. Now, it wasn't really a speech. It was more of a farewell address.

He said they would split the country. And he warned against the federal government having a large debt. He warned that minority interest groups who control the government would. Cause all kinds of trouble. And he believed that religion and morality were essential to be happy and prosper. So basically, George, he was dead on. 1876 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Melville Bissell, he invented the first carpet sweeper. I think I own a Bissell, but it's not from 1876. Yes, I pay the price. But look how much I gain. If I have to, I can do anything.

Yep, they even included the indigenous Maori women that were in part of the country. Yeah, they were the first ones to do that, so thank you, New Zealand, I guess. The next country to do it was Finland in 1907. United States, we got around to it in 1920. The last country to give women the right to vote, Saudi Arabia, 2015. 1912 in Australia, the wattle. It was announced that it was Australia's national flower. They even put it on their coat of arms. Now, that's a fluffy, ball-shaped, golden yellow flower. Now, if you like them, don't plant them here in the United States. The United States, yeah, they're illegal. They're considered invasive.

They ordered that all Jews over six years old who were living in the territories that they had taken over and were now occupying, yeah, they had to wear yellow Star Davids on them, yeah, for a form of identification. 1957, outside Las Vegas, Nevada, the United States government, exploded the first underground nuclear bomb. They actually held a five-day concert in Madison Square Garden protesting nuclear power. Well, today there's not much of a debate over it. Nuclear power is the safest and cleanest energy source we have in the world. It doesn't sound like it, but pretty easy to look up. 1991, Otzi, the Iceman, he was found. A German company, there were a couple. They were hiking in the Italian Alps when they found a dead body that was all frozen. So they let authorities go and all that kind of stuff.

5:51 Of course, everybody thought it was recent. Once they started thawing Otzi out, they realized that he dated back 3300 BC. Yeah, the oldest body ever found in Europe. Turns out that he had been murdered. Yeah. See, he might have been a biker. He had 61 tattoos on him. Or he played in the NBA. 1995, the Washington Post and the New York Times, they published the Unabomber's Manifesto. All 35,000 words. But it worked. The brother actually read that. Yeah, and he was able to. Tell them that, yeah, Ted Kaczynski wrote that. 2019, it was released that in North America, the wild bird population had gone down by 3 billion birds since. 1970. Yeah, they were robbing the banks for their own money. See, the Lebanon government had put a freeze on it, and so people were getting their money, so they were just trying to rob it. Because it's your birthday. Let's check out who's born on September the 19th. It's your birthday. TV's original Batman, Adam West. He was born in Walla Walla, Washington in 1928. Now he had done some small movies and he had a couple of small roles on TV. Then he landed Batman on the TV series.

7:42 They made a movie from the series too. Then Adam spent the rest of his life living off of Batman. I guess he did voice the family guy from 2000 to 2018. He had two children from his second wife, married his third wife in 1970, and they had two kids. Adam, he died from leukemia in 2017, 88 years old. ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶. That was Bill Merle, half of the Righteous Brothers. Bill's 86.

8:25 He was born in Santa Ana, California in 1940. Now Bill and Bobby Hatfield, they formed the Righteous Brothers in 1962. Bill's in the low tenor baritone, Bobby's in the high tenor. Now they broke up, got back together, broke up, got back together, broke up, got back together. Yeah, that was kind of their thing. Now, Bob, or Bob, Bill, he had the huge number one song, I've Had the Time of My Life, with Jennifer Warnes. Now, Hatfield, he died in 2003. And then in 2016, yeah, Medley, he just said, you know what, I still want to go out and perform. So he grabbed Bucky Heard, and those two have been performing ever since. They're in Las Vegas right now, if you want to go check them out. Bill, he had a son from his first wife, and then he married his fourth wife in 1986, and they have a daughter.

She was born in Baltimore in 1941. 1964, she helped form the band The New Journeyman. Then they realized that The New Journeyman had two girls in it. So they changed the name to The Mamas and Papas. They sold 40 million records. Impressive. Yeah, they were only together four years. Now, Cash, she went solo in 1968 when they broke up. Her biggest hit was the one I played, Dream a Little Dream, from me. Now, she had two quick marriages, and then she had a daughter from a fling. 1974, she was doing some shows over in England. She died in her sleep.

9:57 Yeah, heart failure. Now, she didn't have... any drugs in her system at that time. But her heart failure was caused to years of actual heroin abuse 32 years old now that flat where she died it was flat 12 on nine kilos on place four years later the drummer for the who keith moon Died in the exact same bedroom that she had died in. And he was 32 years old also. Actor Jeremy Irons is 78. He was born in Cowes, England. It's on the Isle of Wight. Now, he did a lot of theater over in England. Then he came to the United States, and that's when he hit big. Yeah, he won a Tony, three Emmys, and an Oscar. His Oscar was for A Reversal of Fortune. Some of his other movies. Are, he voiced Scar in The Lion King. Then he played Alfred in Batman and Justice League movies. Die Hard with a Vengeance, The Man Who Knew Infinity. Jeremy, he married his second wife in 1978, and they have two sons.

She was born in London, England in 1958, but she grew up out in California. Now, she was an original member of the all-female rock and roll band The Runaways. The Runaways, they formed in 1975, then they broke up in 1979. Lita, she started her solo career in 1982.

11:24 Her biggest hit was the duet with Ozzy Osbourne. Yeah, it closed my eyes forever. Some of her other hits were Kiss Me Deadly, Hungry, Shot of Poison. Now, she has shows already. I was looking at her schedule. She's got shows already scheduled until next year, so you should be able to check Lita out if you want to. 1996, Lita, she had gotten married and had two sons. She decided to take a break from music. You know, she was just going to be a mom and a wife for a while. 2008, with her kids kind of grown and her marriage in the crapper, she went back and started doing music again. She'd follow Tommy anywhere she went.

12:16 She's in love with the boy. That was the first song Trisha Yearwood released. It was back in 1991. Good way to start. It went up to number one. Trisha's 62. She's born in Monticello, Georgia. Some of her other number one songs are X and O's on American Girl, Thinking About You, Believe Me Baby I Lied, Perfect Love. Now, do you know that Trisha, she's had her own TV show since 2012? Yeah, it's called Trisha's Southern Cookin'. It's on the Food Network. She's even won a Daytime Emmy for it. She divorced twice and she married Garth Brooks in 2005. Late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon was born in Brooklyn, New York. More specifically, Bay Ridge. He's 52 today. He was on Saturday Night Live from 1998 to 2004.
