They did a lot more than that, though, but they just kept it kind of under the radar. Sam, he was a really huge thorn in England's side, but he did go into politics. He was in the Continental Congress. He was actually really instrumental in the Declaration of Independence. He married his first wife in 1749. They had six kids.

Now, they don't know if Samuel Adams actually brewed beer, but he really liked beer a lot, and he sold beer. But what Sam really did, he sold malt. He sold all the malt that was used to make beer. He actually had the nickname Samuel the Malter. Thomas Nast, he was born in Germany in 1840. Came to the United States when he was six. Became a political cartoonist. He's the one who created the elephant image for the Republican Party. Now, he gets credit for creating the donkey for the Democratic Party, but he actually just popularized that. He had the donkey for the Democratic Party. That was actually done by former President Andrew Jackson. Nasty's the one who came up with the popular image of Santa Claus that's pretty much still used worldwide. He also created Uncle Sam. Yep, used his own face. Nasty died from yellow fever in 1902 at 62 years old. Actor Wilford Brimley. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1934. Did Quaker Oats commercials for over 20 years and still had a big gut. Some of his movies were The China Syndrome, The Thing, Tender Mercies, The Natural, those cocoon movies. He was married to his first wife for 44 years. They had four sons, and then she died in 2000. He quickly married a second wife, and they were together until 2020 at 85 years old when he died from kidney failure. That was Randy Bachman playing

Randy, he married his first wife for 11 years and they had six kids. Then he married his second wife for 29 years and they had one child.
