During the American Revolution that followed in 1781, a French fleet of 24 ships, they defeated the British Navy really bad in the Battle of Chesapeake Bay, It left British General Cornwallis stranded in Virginia. Yeah, he wasn't able to escape from Yorktown.

That's what ended the American Revolution. 1836, after defeating Mexico for their independence, the Republic of Texas, they elected Sam Houston their first president. 1889, Germany's Christine Hart. She invented the first modern brassiere. Poor bro. In 1906, St. Louis University quarterback Bradbury Robinson. He threw the first forward pass in the history of American football. He was able to complete it to Jack Snyder for a touchdown. St. Louis University, they went on to beat Carroll College 22 to nothing. 1934, pilot Wiley Post, he was flying near Chicago. Any guesses what he discovered? The jet stream. In 1975 in Sacramento, California, Charles Manson, he had a follower named Squeaky Fromm. Now she tried to shoot U.S. President Gerald Ford.

5:10 Started the Jack Daniel Whiskey Distillery in 1875. He actually learned how to make whiskey when he was a little boy. He learned it from a slave. Yeah, they used to make and sell whiskey for a preacher. Well, the preacher got out of the whiskey business. So Jack, and now he's a former slave. His name was Nathan Green. Yeah, he went by Nearest. They started the Jack Daniel's Company. Took him 150 years for word to get out that Jack Daniel's whiskey recipe was actually made by Forrest. Yeah, a former slave. Jack, he never married. In 1911, He forgot the combination of the safe and his office. He got mad and kicked the safe. Broke his toe. Ended up dying from blood poisoning. 65 years old. Think whiskey was involved? Now, he did pay Nearest fairly for his help.

5:50 But Ferris, he never really got a piece of the company. So years afterwards when the company was sold, yeah, his family didn't get anything for it. Hello? Hello? The original Bob Newhart. Bob, he was born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1929. He's one of the greatest stand-up comedians in history. In 1960, he released a comedy album. It was called The Button Down Mind of Bob Newhart. Went to number one on the Billboard pop charts. Yeah, first comedy album to do that. Then it took 30 years for another comedy album to do it. Yeah, Weird Al Yankovic was pulled off. Bob, he's in a couple movies, but he's best known for TV. He had the Bob Newhart Show, Newhart, did a whole bunch of guest appearances.

6:43 Nominated nine times for primetime Emmys. Finally won one on his ninth time, 2013. Yeah, he played Professor Proton on The Big Bang Theory. Bob, he married in 1963. They had four children. Now, Bob, he just died in July. He would have been 95 years old today. Now, I'm sure most of you have seen all those TV commercials for Roslyn Capital featuring William Devane. He wants you to buy gold and silver. William Devane is an 87-year-old actor who was born in Albany, New York in 1939. Some of his movies were Marathon Man, Bad News Bears, Space Cowboys. He was a president in The Dark Knight Rises. On TV, he starred on Knot's Landing for 10 years. Then he played the president on 24. So I guess since he played the president twice, that's why you should listen to him when he tries to give you investment advice on your money. Now, he's been married since 1961, and they have two sons.

It was the only song she ever released that made it into the charts. Raquel Welch. Yeah, Raquel. She was born in Chicago in 1940. When she was two, she moved her family to San Diego. That's where she grew up. She went to San Diego State University. 1966, she was in the movie One Million Years B.C. Now, she only had three lines in the movie, but they put her on the movie poster wearing a deerskin bikini. That poster is one of the most solved Sold posters in world history. So, yeah, she became an international sex symbol. Some movies that she was in with more than three lines were The Fantastic Boys, Bedazzled, Bandolero, Legally Blonde, Mother, Jugs, and Speed. She was Jugs. She divorced four times. She had a son and a daughter from her first marriage. Now, in the movie Shawshank Redemption, that poster that Tim Robbins puts up on the wall to hide his escape route, it was a Rocko Welch poster.

8:44 She had Alzheimer's, but she died of a heart attack just last year at 82 years old. That was when Queen stole the show at the Live Aid concerts in 1985. The late singer of Queen, yeah, of course, was Freddie Mercury. Freddie was born in Stonetown, Zanzibar in 1946. Zanzibar today is part of Tanzania. He had a four-octave voice range and a really flamboyant stage presence, helped Queen sell over 200 million records. He did live with a woman. Her name was Mary Austin for six years, but then he could no longer hide the fact that he was gay.

9:33 But Mary and Freddie, they remained best friends for the rest of his life. Now, it wasn't legal, but Freddie did marry a guy, Jim Hutton, in 1985. They were together until Freddie died of AIDS in 1991 at 45 years old. Left the majority of his estate to marry, though. Actor Michael Keaton is 75. He was born in Kennedy Township, Pennsylvania. First hit big in the movie Night Shift and then Beetlejuice. Played Batman in a couple movies. He's in the new Beetlejuice. Nominated for an Oscar for Birdman. He's married once for eight years and has a son from it. I remember how. It used to be.

She's born in Houston, Texas. En Vogue, they performed in 1981. They've sold over 30 million albums. Some of their biggest hits are Hold On, My Lovin', You're Never Gonna Get It, What a Man, Don't Let Go. Terry and En Vogue, yeah, they still travel around and perform. Terry, she has a five-octane vocal range. Actress Rose McGowan is 53. She was born in Florence, Italy in 1973. Her first movie was Encino Man, then Biodome, Scream, Monkey Bone. On TV, she starred on Charmed for five years.
