Love the podcast every week. Did something change with the sound recently? The show with Neal McDonough and now with Gabby Reece seem harder to hear for some reason? Does anybody notice a difference?

Luckiest gal aliveā€¦to have heard this podcast!
My husband had to share with me the podcast featuring Neal McDonough (the luckiest guy on earth.. Iā€™m pretty sure thatā€™s what you guys called it?) we live here on Cape Cod, so it was an especially enjoyable podcast! I really enjoyed how easy the whole thing was to listen to, and I got to tell you Mike, you are a great interviewer! Wonderful questions asked- very profound and human. Iā€™m moving on with my day reminded of the power of gratitude, hard work, and leaving a legacy behind of greatness. Thank you for the inspiration! šŸ™‚šŸ™šŸ¼šŸ‘šŸ¼

Love of music
This is such an awesome podcast! I liked the episodes when they were short, but I really enjoy listening to all the added dialogue. Mikeā€™s parents, Chuck, and Paul from QVC are some of the best ones. My favorite episodes are when you share about your experiences with Fred King and all the paths you have gone down because of his influence. I had a larger than life music director in my life as well. I was in a marching band in high school with a teacher named Mr.B. He was like everyoneā€™s grandfather and taught me about life more than music. Appreciating music was a bonus. He always referenced Godā€™s son during rehearsals because we were a bunch of teenagers that didnā€™t listen. I will never forget the sign above the door with the phrase ā€œAttitude is the key to success.ā€ When I hear you talk about Fred King and how music has influenced your life, it makes me nostalgic as well. Thank you for sharing and reminding me of all those good times. Please keep sharing! Also love the episodes with Peggy! Sheā€™s so sweet and hilarious! But I will say your dad makes me laugh even harder so please bring him on once in a while!

Head nods and belly laughter!
My husband and I love to listen when we are traveling because we know 90 minutes of our trip will fly by. Whether itā€™s time with his precious mom and dad, Clint Hill (AMAZING) and ā€œeat the beefā€, Neal M. The Benefactor, our lives are opened to so much. Not to mention it gives this old married couple something to talk about for the next 7 hours. Thanks Mike and Chuck, well done time and time again!

Neal McDonough
Thanks for having Neal on the podcast. Heā€™s one of those actors you see a lot and donā€™t really know. Heā€™s now an official favorite of mine!

Love the show
Really enjoyed the interview with Neal McDonough

A feel good listen!
Great interviews and mini ā€œcan you believe thisā€ mystery bios. I find this a happier place ā€œpodcastlandiaā€.

Iā€™ve done it (now that I finally figured out how). Do I get a prize? (Other than another excellent podcast this week!)

Great Show
Thank You Mike! Keep up the great work!!! Happy New Year to You and Yours!! Victor Crockett, Retired US Army/USPS!

Love
Thank you

Fun!
Iā€™m a regular listener and I keep recommending this to friends and family. Mikeā€™s podcast is interesting and fun. I learn something new every week. One of the best podcasts in my ā€œlibraryā€.

Greatest Podcast of them all!
I have liked Mike since I first saw Dirty Jobs when it was first on. While I loved the original short form podcast, I like the revised, longer version even more! This past week I drove from northern Indiana to south Texas and back. With more than twenty hours on the road, I was able to catch up on most of the podcasts from 2023. My favorite Roweism has to be ā€œForrest Gumped.ā€ And Mike/Chuck (if he hasnā€™t been fired yet) LOVE the advertising jingles!

Travis Mills
LifeVac is the best jingle yet.

Just Awesome
I love these podcast it's the best their is not a talk that I have not loved. Enjoy and also learn a lot. Sometimes I go back to the first and listen to all again. Being blind makes these podcast the best for working out or just sitting around.

Gets the over 50 brain working again
As an avid listener to both Mike and his mom, I have indulged in books I would have never gravitated to. Now Iā€™m fascinating at parties. All kidding aside I love the topics keep them coming.

Jingles
I skip the commercials so I can get to the jingle. The jingles add a great amount of value to the podcast

Scarcity Brain Episode 10/10
I always love these interviews but extra extra enjoyed this one. Canā€™t wait to get the book and share it. Also, I am now inspired to write comments to the author of things I love and producers of podcasts etc, especially after hearing Mr Easter say how much he wants to hear from people who have read his books! Terrific material! ( And tangential material suggestion based on the bit about Rational Recovery - you should interview Annie Grace, author of This Naked Mind. I think that would be an awesome addition to your podcast library). Thank you!

I Need To Read these.
Hmm simply awesome!!

Keeps Getting Better
Every week I look forward to this podcast. Mike and Chuck (hopefully he hasnā€™t been fired yet) bring a thoughtful conversation with someone I generally have never heard of and I find it completely fascinating. Itā€™s like listening to a couple old friends talking and enjoying the company of each other. Whenever I am asked ā€œwhich celebrity would you want to have over for dinner?ā€, the answer is always Mike Rowe and this podcast reaffirms my thought. So, Mike, you up for a meal?

Sing Mike Sing
Love the singing commercials - the Gregorian chant cracks me up every time. HOWEVER - have you heard Hoist the Colors by The Wellerman?!! One sings so low he rivals your baritone. Iā€™d love it if you could get with those young chaps for a how low can you go contest! Almost would wager a bottle of Knoble for a ring side seat!! Wooohooo!!

Mailbag!
Love the story of Danny Devito. Glad Mr Rowe is doing better. Love the podcast.

Love the Interviews!
New episodes of this show is something I look forward to every week! I very much enjoy the long-form interviews and ā€œmeetingā€ people Mike thinks we all ought to knowā€”keep it up!

A rollicking drawing room!
Mike, you have the best voice, the best guests, the best mom, and the best producer (winks at Chuck). Iā€™ve laughed; Iā€™ve learned; Iā€™ve met so many interesting people that I would never have known without you. Please never stop singing your commercials- theyā€™re great stuff! How about an entire episode in song? A mini mystery done in barbershop/opera! I swoon at the thought! (Pretty please šŸ„°)

366ā€¦. Happy New Year šŸ¤©šŸ„³
Happy & Prosperous 2024! What a great way to start the new year. I just love the banter between you and Chuck! Canā€™t wait to hear next weekā€™s episode šŸ˜‰ā™„ļø Toni Bumpass, Cumberland VA

One bottle
A truck, car, and plane. The journey of one bottle of Knoble Whiskey, it does take a family. The journey of this single bottle of Knoble Whiskey started many years ago with Dirty Jobs. Being the father of two boys, Dirty Jobs was one of the shows they had to watch. As they grew, they became Boy Scouts, and finding they you are an Eagle, they were intrigued with this knowledge, and both reached that difficult and lofty accomplishment. Fast forward to June 2023 with a long trip in a U-Haul from New York to Fort Benning Georgia with my older son. As in the past when I travel, I like to save up pod casts to listen to. We listened to your many of your pod casts during the long drive and truly enjoyed the story of plugging a toilet at a friendā€™s house while attending a picnic. This was a regular occurrence in our home years ago with our younger son Jon. Billy asked if I have ever tried your Whiskey. Being in NYS, no. And so, the journey continues. Billy went online to order a bottle of your whiskey for me for Christmas, and low and behold, you cannot ship any alcohol to NYS. Our guess they want/need all the taxes. Being in the apartment complex he is in, not a great one, he had it shipped to my brother in Florida for its safe delivery and storage. It arrived and was kept safe in his hands until Thanksgiving. Billy traveled from Fort Benning to see Shawn in Florida for Thanksgiving to see family and retrieve the golden gift for Christmas. A return drive of 6 hours to Georgia and then a flight to New Jersey for the Christmas season was its next leg. After a flights and a layover, a short car ride home from Newark Airport and the journey of a signal bottle of Knoble Whiskey was completed. After a move into our new downsized home, I would not recommend moving over the Christmas Holiday to anyone. We opened it and had a drink together before he returned to his training at Fort Benning. We thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a moment in life when you can have a relaxing drink with your son and enjoy the journey of his life after the long journey of a single bottle Knoble Whiskey. It was worth the trip.

Laugh out loud funny and informative!
There are so many funny things about this show when Chuck and Mike are just talking. (Chuck does all the real work, Mike is just the voice and some of the critical thinking! ) Then they have informative and entertaining guests! And then of course, the episodes that started it all, the stories. I look forward to all episodes.

Get Danny Devito to cut Chucks hair! Great show!
