Everything with Peggy is our favorite! And... The way I Heard It short stories are excellent and remind us of Paul Harvey's The Rest of the Story from many years ago. Thank you Mike & Chuck!

Loved this episode! From Danny Divito doing the final blow outs on stiffs to your dad surviving a near death experience! Glad everything turned out well for both individuals! Can’t wait to see Chuck’s blow out…maybe Divito can come by do an interview while styling Chuck! 🤔🤣

Free but not

Mike provides his wonderful podcast to listeners at no cost and yet it’s expensive for me because the interviews are so interesting that I want to buy every book being discussed!

Love the early episodes

My review is for the majority of episodes. The story and the surprise was a great format. Mike does an excellent job of making you guess who the person might be and keeping it interesting. Lots of fun and 5 star. Later interview formats shows often seemed to run on too long. Subjects were good but went beyond my level of interest. But don’t get me wrong they were interesting and just. Needed more editing to kerp the interesting stuff and keep it concise. I’m eagerly awaiting Mikes next show.

12/27/2023 I have been looking forward to your Mom’s audio version of her second book , “About your Father”. Are you going to put it on your podcast like you did with her last book? I hope so! 12/27/20222 Thank you Mike for having your Mom (Peggy) for recording her latest book! I have brought all three of her books but I really enjoyed her first book when it was on audio! I hope that Peggy will record her second book on audio like you mentioned on your last Podcast with her! I can’t wait for her fourth book! Love your podcast, but this episode in particular was SO fun! I was listening to the end of it (with headphones) in line at a store and had to turn it off since I couldn’t stop laughing and I didn’t want to look like a lunatic 😂 Good stuff!

My Dad

My dad Fred is 92, served in the Korean War and is now living in the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, MS. He plays the piano for the residents and goes to the casinos on occasion, but mostly watches television. We try to speak everyday. And once a week, I listen to this podcast. Besides the normal family stuff, the podcast gives us a chance to share thoughts about what was said. I remind and correct my Dad it is Mike Rowe’s “way he heard it”, yet my Dad thinks I am brilliant by these stories. Anyway, thanks for helping me bond with my Dad.

Your Christmas story with your mom and Chuck made me laugh till my stomach hurt. I particularly love the story of your friend, watching his truck and his dog named Lady! I laughed so hard I got sick, and had listen to it three more times laughing so hard.

Christmas Special with Mom

A Christmas special like no other! You covered all the typical Christmas topics: black mold, muggings, almost fatal falls, flying manure, and not so lady like Ladies. Of course, I had to listen to it twice! Laughed out loud both times!! It really put me in the Christmas spirit. :)

Favorite Pod

I started listening in June of 2023 at the first episode and I can’t stop. By the end of Dec 2023 I will have caught up completely. It’s going to be sad when I have to start waiting on episodes rather than listening to multiple a day.
