Too religiousy.
Love the pod but, religion comes up a lot and it’s very off putting. I thought Mike was smart and I definitely think much less of him for being religious. Most people are not religious and it’s very un-relatable to be talking about fairy tales. It’s just odd, please stop.

Mike Rowe Podcasts
Wow How exciting to have my two favorite podcastors together on the same show. ❤️❤️Absolutely loved this show. Wish every American could hear this dialogue. All so true. Enjoy Mike and Victor so much. Thank you. Thank you.

My great-grandmother was an indentured servant
Only 2 out of 10 Irish girls brought over to serve the wealthy as indentured servants even earned their freedom. My great-grandfather bought her contract from a wealthy family on Beacon Hill to marry her. I just listened to your interview with Kris Engelstad with such interest given my role in fundraising at Michigan, USC, Chapel Hill and several large hospital systems. I was responsible for building teams that raised $1 billion in private support. I’m now working with “Workshops for Warriors” helping veterans transition equipped w welding and advanced manufacturing certifications often saving their lives. As you know veterans are killing themselves at the rate of 20 per day out of despair during this vulnerable transition time. We are saving lives, training, supporting often homeless, or near homeless vets to gain the skills and certifications needed to graduate in 4 months and placed in jobs across our country starting at $60,000 a year. I am more proud of the impact we are making than any of the schools I helped to raise $1 billion for in private support. Please allow us an opportunity to share this unique school in San Diego that is dupkicatable across our great nation. Respectfully, Ann Braun Former welder 858-585-2754 San Diego

Great Show
Always interesting, and truly love that you have the heart of America in mind.

Spot On
I make an effort to share episodes with friends and FB folks who may be stuck in a one track informational bubble. Being an Exiled 5th generation San Franciscan, I find it refreshing to have information from thoughtful, live to tell everyday people who make this society function with their own hands as opposed to “experts”. Mike Rowe brings this common sense approach to every topic that him and his guests discuss. The PERCEPTION over SUBSTANCE mentality that has invaded the beautiful Northern California mind and infiltrating the masses further is disheartening. This podcast can help people understand what’s really the skinny on current industries that are being hastily banished. I come hear the real deal! The latest Victor Davis Hansen chat was excellent!

Our Go-To Podcast
Mike and his sidekick/producer, Chuck, never fail to entertain, educate, and enlighten us. We have a short list of podcasts we’re wiling to make time for, and Mike’s inevitably emerges as the undisputed choice. Intelligent, respectful, and often humorous, we can always count on Mike and Chuck to bring us something worthy of listening to. Thank you!

An Americana must listen
If you have listened to Garrison Keillor in the past, I encourage you to take part in any and all of this podcast. This will only help your outlook on life.

Return of the podcast for the curious mind
Loved the latest short story. I enjoy the long format also, but have missed the clever storytelling that makes you think as you listen. Well done. Riley Gaines discussion rekindled some of my dormant patriotism. Fighting for your rights is in the American DNA. I hope her Quixotic battle ends in fairness for women. It isn’t fair and a level playing field is also very American. If the Lea Thomas’ compete, then a handicap must be added to level the playing field. It is also odd to see the feminist get on board with misogyny. My only thought is they want unisex for all. They fought hard for equality and now seem willing to throw it all away in a world devoid of common sense. VDH interview was very good. The political and monetary shift to the far left has implications for all. The fall of higher education and the military is of utmost concern.

VDH
Love, love, love VDH. Excellent interview!

Victor Davis Hansen
Mike and Chuck! Thank you for this opportunity to hear Victor Davis Hansen at length. His wisdom is refreshing!

Lab rats
I love your podcast. So honest and true. Brings us all back to what is our truth and what do we believe? Major indoctrination in progress at all levels. Automatons increasing in this country. So sad. Criminal what has been allowed to happen to all cultures in the USA and around the world. Lack of humanity growing faster by the day. Hopefully we can bring accountability back to our world.

So Goes Glory
My two most favorite pod cast hosts merged their gifts into one glorious session. Well done to Mike and Chuck for snagging Professor Hanson for this discussion. A double dose of great insight and wisdom.

Fun, Entertaining, and like a friend. Good music
Ok so this Mike Rowe being Mike. Interviewing great people and just talking and making you like it. It is like sitting in on a friend’s conversations. It cheers me up.

Mailbag!
#394 Kris Engelstad. Great interview !!!! Thank you Mike, Chuck and Kris. My favorite line at 1.24 “they think they are smarter than everyone”. So true of educators everywhere (maybe not everyone of them). I’ve said more than once “some of the non-smartest people I know are Educated, smarter-than-thou folks”. Ugh. Good for Kris !!!!!

Leading Greatness!
I always so enjoy the podcasts, Mike, et.al. Love the real-world view, guests and stories. And the barbershop! You guys rock! Thanks fo you all. Daniel Roth

F McCourt’s interview
What a great story and a great ambition. This is what high school should be, share amazing stories of ambition, drive and finding a problem and solving it. Solving it at your neighbors level or the world!

It’s Elementary, Mr.Rowe
I am an Elementary School Counselor raised “old school” by my retired Air Force Grandfather and independent, loving Grandmother in the Texas Panhandle. I married a Diesel Equipment Mechanic 32 years ago when we were 20 year old kids. His father is a Vietnam Veteran and worked as a Diesel Mechanic as well. All of that information should make it obvious why I love your Podcast. Every episode brings new information and/or an inspiring story that leaves me anxiously awaiting next week’s episode. All of your topics are very relatable to my life in some way or helps me relate to others in some way. I encourage my students to consider many opportunities for a career, whether it be College, Military, Trade, or Certification because I’ve seen blessings in each path. Thank you and Chuck for the work that you do. It is a blessing. Best Regards from Texas

Amusing, heartwarming, and inspiring
The most recent episode about Possum Trot and the Sound of Hope movie was wonderful!

Liquid chocolate
That is how I describe Mike’s voice. I could listen to it all day long, and I often do, while I traversing my county, doing dirty jobs and schlepping food, freight, and friends from point A to point B.

Format
Really enjoy how he started off by doing it like Paul Harvey brought back many memories. I also have been enjoying the in depth interview with different people. Thanks for the great podcast (anyway that’s how I see it)

Mike Rowe is awesome!

Chuck and Mike yes in that order! Haha. Thank you for the great content! Keep them coming, tuning in from Arizona.

Great listen
I learned a lot. Thanks!

Riley Gaines
Thank you for bringing Riley on! She so smart, well spoken, strong, articulate. I love what she’s doing standing up for “girls and women” These organizations have been smoking too much of something.

Thank you!
I love so many of your episodes, but the episode with Riley Gaines was enlightening, maddening and encouraging. She’s a fighter for what’s right and I appreciate you sharing your platform with her. Keep up the great work!

The Best of the Best!
