Like so many people, I started watching Mike on Dirty Jobs when I was younger and thought he brought an honesty to his show that most other reality tv shows never achieve. When my father found out that Mike had a podcast we started listing together. Now, I listen to both the new episode for each week and old ones while I work night shift.
I can’t thank Mike and his team enough for what he does. His genuine work ethic and patriotism is uplifting and simply needed in today’s culture. Theres been two things that Mike has said on his show that really encouraged me as an aspiring writer. To paraphrase, you can’t follow your dreams but always take them with you on your journey and always write what inspires and amuses first. Genuine writing reaches more and audience pandering.
